IMPROVING THE STANDARD OF PRESENTATION OF DESIGN SHEETS - 2

ADDING SHADE |
Add colour and shade to enhance your drawings, using coloured pencils and
sometimes felt pens. Do not use felt pens in examinations, as this is not allowed. |
USING CUTOUTS |
When trimming pictures or cutouts, cut in straight lines with a pair of
scissors, producing a neat and accurate shape. Draw the outline of the
shape to be cut (see dotted line), before using the scissors. When gluing the cutouts to a design sheet, use a glue such as PRITT Stick, not a liquid glue. Liquid glues tend to distort the paper. |
USING ICT |
Word processing, DTP, graphics and CAD software helps to produce accurate drawings, tables and text. Producing ‘elements’ of text and graphics on a computer and ‘pasting’ them on to a design sheet, can raise the overall standard of presentation. |
