| Once you have decided on the style of popup, you can start to work out where to place the text and images. Carefully plan the layout. The example below shows the two double sides of the popup book. |

| |
| Test / check that the ‘rough’ version works well before starting on the final quality card version. An example of two sides of a ‘rough’ popup book are shown below. |

| Glue both halves together. Test the rough popup book. Does it close properly? What do other people think of your rough design / popup? Make a note of what other people say and consider making changes to your design, before starting your final quality version. |

| You could construct a ‘table’ like the one below and ask a ‘focus group’ to try out your rough popup book. |
