Study the London Underground Map shown below. It is a topological map. What does this mean?

A topological map is a simplified map. It displays only the important information required for the traveller, to compete his / her journey successfully. Most curves and irregular shaped roads are drawn as straight lines, ensuring that the map is easy to read. Scale is sometimes disregarded. Unimportant placenames are omitted, as they may confuse the traveller.

What is the name of the designer of the London Underground map?

Harry Beck designed the first Underground map in 1931.
