What is the Health and Safety at Works Act and why is it important for all workshop users to follow it guidance?
 
The Health and Safety at Works Act, is an Act of Parliament. It is aimed at protecting workers in the workplace. It also aims to protect workers operating equipment and machinery in connection with their work/job.

Employers have a statutory obligation under the Health and Safety Act, to ensure that their employees receive adequate and up to date training in the use of equipment and machinery, in their workplace. The Act also covers the storage and handling of potential hazardous materials and substances.

Workers are obliged to use equipment and machinery safely, ensuring their safety and the safety of other people.
