Context: Minor Project - Electronics - Sensor.
Learning Objectives: To continue with practical work - introduction of work on formers.

Use of hand tools and fret saws.

Computer suite.

Vacuum former

Activities: The pupils will continue practical work after a demonstration on the use of the vacuum former. There will be a talk regarding the precision required in the manufacture of formers.

The pupils will see a former being used in the production of a circuit case. The materials will be discussed.

They will continue with their practical work and the design of the final circuit through the use of crocodile clips and PCB wizard.

Differentiation:

 

Pupils will naturally vary the complexity of their designs. They will be encouraged to stretch their ability through the use of more detailed circuits and practical work.
