You are to design a special arm chair. It is for an important customer -
IT IS FOR YOU.
The arm chair can include any type of device you wish. For example, you
may include a Coca Cola drinks dispenser, so that you are never thirsty.
You may wish to add a motor so that there is no need for you to walk
around your home. The chair may be specially heated, for cold winters.
TASKS
1. Research unusual chairs on the internet and collect images of chairs
that you like. Paste the pictures on to an A4 sized piece of paper.
2. Add notes that explain what you like about each of the chairs. You
may wish to explain the features that you like or how comfortable the
chair looks.
3. Now consider your own chair design. Draw two rough designs and add
notes that explain your ideas for each chair.
4. Select your best design. Draw your design accurately and add colour
and shade.
5. Add labels that clearly identify all the features of your chair.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
To achieve a high grade:
Produce a good range of research and include detailed notes.
Draw two rough designs clearly and explain each design.
Produce an accurate colour rendered drawing of your final idea,
identifying all the features of the chair.
