The Hawaiian Islands are regarded as one of the most exotic places in the world that tourists visit. They are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. They were first settled by Polynesians who arrived from other Pacific Islands by 300 AD. The famous British Captain James Cook also arrived in 1778. During another visits in 1779 he was killed in a fight with Hawaiians. The Hawaiian flag proudly displays its link to Britain although it is a State of the United States of America. They are a very popular tourist destination because of their volcanic national parks, the surfing and beaches. |
