Product analysis involves looking closely at existing products and
identifying how they work, the materials they are made from, the
industrial processes used to manufacture them and their key features. It
may also involves the designer asking the general public or potential
customers what they think of the product. The aim of product analysis is
to help the designer develop even better designs and products in the
future. The trolley below is a specialist Fishing Trolley. It is designed to carry specialist fishing equipment. It has large wheels that help when pushing the trolley over rough ground. It folds into quite a compact unit for storage reasons. |

MATERIALS: This fishing trolley is manufactured from steel tube, coated
with a scratch resistant paint. It is fully adjustable for height,
allowing the user to adjust the handler to a comfortable position. WHEELS: It has strong robust pneumatic wheels (air filled) that enable it to carry reasonable, everyday weights. The pneumatic wheels means that it can be used over rough ground, such as river side paths. It is extremely manoeuvrable and the stand means that it can be stood upright without the user having to hold it in position. MOVEMENT: The pneumatic tyres minimise the noise at it is pushed along and ensures ‘cushioned’, smooth movement. WEIGHT: It is a light weight trolley due to the combination of materials from which it is manufactured. HANDLE: The handle is height adjustable. COST: A low cost trolley (£90). |
