Have you ever needed cheering up in school? Have you
ever arrived in school in a bad mood? This happens to all of us from time
to time. The logo/symbol below has been designed to encourage pupils to make each other smile. The logo/symbol is a little dated and needs to be modernised. |
|||||
Study the existing symbol/logo (above). Do you consider
it to be outdated or unsuitable? YES/NO Explain you answer. |
|||||
Produce two rough versions of a new suitable symbol/logo to encourage pupils to make each other smile. Add notes explaining each design especially how each one could be further improved.
SUGGESTIONS: Keep your designs simple with the minimum of words / text. Use no more than two/three colours and consider using bright colours as these are proven to gain the attention of young children. |
|||||
Select your best design and produce a final colour rendered version. Use either felt pens, coloured pencils, ink pens, crayons or a combination of all.
Manufacture a composite card version of your design. Build up layers of coloured card and add text with ink pens / felt pens. Glue the layers of card using a suitable adhesive.
1. Cut the layers of coloured card and glue together using a gel type glue or a spray glue. Do not use a liquid glue or the card will ‘buckle’ and become misshapen.
2. Use ink pens and coloured pencils to add text /
words. Consider using ICT / computer software. For instance, print out the text directly on to coloured card and then cut out the shapes. |
