Greeting cards are sold in ‘packs’, which are often in the form of stylish
boxes / packaging. The boxes / packaging is usually manufactured from
quality card. Card is popular as it is cheap and can be recycled. Also, colour and images can be applied using a number of printing techniques. Normally the card is lacquered to give the box a gloss / satin finish. Usually the packages are cuboid in shape as this means that they can be transported and stacked on shelves easily, efficiently using space. |

package, it can contain up to fifty greetings cards. From a customers point of view, buying a pack of greetings cards has advantages. These include: |
Each greetings card is cheaper than individually bought cards as they are bought in ‘bulk’. The customer will have plenty of cards to choose from when selecting a suitable card. The customer may not need to buy greetings cards for some time. |
