EVALUATING THE ELECTRONIC MEMO BOARD |
V. Ryan © 2014 |
Designers evaluate a product when it is in the design stage, when a
prototype has been manufactured and tested, and when the final product is
sold in the shops. Manufacturers evaluate the manufacture of a product, at every stage. They try to improve the manufacturing process, in order to be more efficient and to save materials, time and money. This leads to a better product, that is cheaper for the customer and it creates more profit for the manufacturer. In turn, more money can be invested in the development of the next product. When a customer buys a product, he/she evaluates it, as it is being used. He / she decides whether it is a good purchase or a waste of money. Customers pass on their thoughts about the product on to potential customers, using word of mouth and internet forums. Evaluating a product should lead to improvements being made to the next version of the product. It could have improved features, be safer to use and even better value for money. |
