| FOLDING AND STORING A BAND SAW BLADE |

| At some point, the blade of a band saw will need replacing or changing. Remember to work safely when changing a blade, as it will still be sharp enough to cause serious injury, if handled carelessly. Start by wearing leather safety / protective gloves. Also wear safety goggles and safety shoes. When removed from the band saw, it forms a large loop. Hold the blade firmly as shown in diagram 1. Follow the stages to fold a blade, safely into three rings. |

| DIAGRAM 4 The band saw blade has formed three rings. It is recommended at this stage, that a piece of string / wire, is used to bind the blade, preventing it from unfolding. The blade can now be stored safely. |
