Imagine your possessions have been stolen
from your flat. Valuable and person items have been taken away and you are
left with very little. All you have worked for has been stolen and you are
left with a flat that has been ‘trashed’. The police find the burglar ! |
|
1. What should be their sentence? Remember, there are custodial sentences (Jail) and also community service.
Justify the sentence you would like the burglar to face.
PAIN THEY HAVE CAUSED - THE VALUABLE ITEMS THEY HAVE STOLEN - THE DAMAGE TO PROPERTY - THE ANGER YOU FEEL - DISTRESS THEY HAVE CAUSED - COST OF REPLACING PROPERTY - COST OF SOLVING THE CRIME (POLICE ETC..)
2. What realistic sentence do you think the burglar would receive, when in court?
People join the
‘Neighbourhood Watch’ to help keep their area / local community safe. It
involves the Police, local people, organisations and businesses, working
together to make communities safer and better places to live. The existing Neighbourhood Watch poster is seen opposite. 3. Design a new, eye catching poster, to encourage people of all ages to get involved with Neighbourhood Watch. |
