| Adolescence is all about
growing up. As we grow up the way we think and act changes. If you watch a
child of four or five years of age and then compare his/her actions to a
person of your age, there will be differences. If you watch a person of
your age and compare his/her actions with those of your parents you will
again find that there are plenty of differences. As we get older we become more mature in the way we think and act. What is immaturity? An immature person is one that has difficulty sorting out problems and usually gets angry, frustrated, agitated and sometimes violent. They usually act before they think. Young children act like this when they have a tantrum. What is a mature person? A mature person is one that is able to find a solution to problems through discussion. They are able to think carefully about their own actions before acting. Young people and adults are usually like this. |
