INDIVIDUAL REPORTS - 1

A. Name is working below his minimum target grade and this is clearly seen in his examination result. He usually works well during lesson time although he can be slow to complete individual pieces of design coursework. Name seems genuinely interested in his Resistant Materials project and has already started the practical aspect of the coursework, attending after school sessions in the workshops. His coursework folder is currently graded as a ‘C’.

Name’s folder is well presented and shows good organisation and general planning. He puts effort into his practical work but he must carry out further individual development work for the design folder. He has designed an interesting project and the standard of his practical work is high.

Name sometimes takes time to listen to the teacher at the beginning of the lesson and requires monitoring by the teacher to ensure that he completes design work.

Name will need to attend further after school workshop sessions to ensure that he finishes the practical aspect of the coursework to the highest possible standard.

2. Name is working above his minimum target grade and his design folder is presented to a high standard. He always works well during lesson time and is up to date in his coursework, often asking for extra work. Name is determined to produce individual pieces of work to the highest possible standard and regularly updates his grades. He seems genuinely interested in Resistant Materials and he is developing good design/drawing skills and knowledge in this subject.

Name’s folder is well presented and shows very good organisation and work ethic. However, he must carry out further individual development work for his GCSE project and quickly move on to practical work.

Name always listens carefully to instructions and follows advice from the teacher. Once practical work starts he will need to attend extra working sessions to ensure the successful completion of the practical aspect of the coursework.

3. Name is working in line with his minimum target grade and this is due to good work on his GCSE coursework folder. However, he was absent from the mock examination. If he fails to attend the June examination his final grade will be very poor.
Name works well in class and is making progress with his design work. He needs to practise drawing techniques as the quality of his designs could be improved with further care and attention. Name must carry out individual development work for his GCSE project if he is to raise his final grade. His folder shows that he is able to produce interesting designs and ideas.
Name appears interested in Resistant Materials and he is very close to starting the practical aspect of the course. He will need to attend after school workshop sessions to ensure that practical work is completed to the highest possible standard.
Liam usually listens carefully to instructions and this has helped ensure that most of his coursework is complete.
